As we reported in January 2018, the Eat, Pray, Love author's partner Rayya Elias passed away at the age of 57 from cancer. On Wednesday, on the 6-month anniversary of Rayya's passing, the writer took to Instagram to share her thoughts on how one "handles" grief. From her experience with heartache, Gilbert has learned that the only way one can deal with grief is to "[bow] down before its power, in complete humility."

It's about the worst thing someone can say about you after death and the reason Kathleen Dehmlow's obituary went viral this week. Related: Kate Spade's Husband Downplays Marriage Problems In First Official Statement People don't usually look through the somber newspaper section expecting to see such hardcore shade, so the Internet went wild after someone shared the brief obit from Monday's Redwood Falls Gazette on Twitter. So what's the story behind it?? DailyMail.com tracked down one of the "abandoned children" to whom the post refers, 58-year-old Army vet and retired boxer Jay Dehmalo. Jay explained this provided him and his elder sister Gina some catharsis after many decades without a mother:
He said posting the obit was Gina's idea; when she'd heard their mother was on her deathbed rather than last-minute forgiveness, she looked for a recent photo to submit to the paper along with her "last word." The post was refused by the first paper they tried and later deleted from the Redwood Falls Gazette website after complaints (though of course it still exists in print). VOTE: Reporter Says Melania Trump Might Be Hiding Signs Of Spousal Abuse — Is That Going Too Far?? According to Dehmalo, the kids' grandparents finally took them in after Kathleen abandoned them and their father was unfit to raise them. Cousin Lyle Schunk confirmed:
The hardship of their childhood, which he says "people wouldn't believe," obviously did enduring damage. Dehmalo says they were "bad kids"; his sister has been convicted twice of domestic violence charges. Meanwhile, he says their mother was "off having a great life in California with her other kids" -- two half-brothers he and Gina found out about years later. Kathleen's surviving sister Judy called the obit "nasty" and said it "hurt the family tremendously" -- she thought the dark chapter should have been left out:
Two kids aren't important? Hmm. Definitely seems too harsh for an obit, but without all the sides and with so little detail we won't provide the "judgement" Kathleen will face -- but we will say this: Remember this obit the next time you burn bridges. On Wednesday, Pamela Anderson sat down with ET to promote her new book co-written with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach called Lust for Love: Rekindling Intimacy and Passion in Your Relationship. Related: Pamela Anderson Fears For Julian Assange's Life! However, the former Baywatch star also dished about son Brandon Lee's alleged altercation with father Tommy Lee in March. As we reported, the Mötley Crüe drummer accused his son of assault in his Calabasas home. On the flip side, Brandon claimed the fight was triggered by his father's alleged drinking problem (which Tommy denied.) The next month, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined to press charges against the 21-year-old. In regards to the situation, Anderson shadily responded:
Although she called her ex "a disaster" who is "spinning out of control" at the time of the incident, the blonde beauty no longer wants any part of the drama.
The former Playboy model -- who also has son Dylan with Lee -- only has glowing words for her offspring.

After much speculation about where in the world FLOTUS was for 27 days following her surgery, Donald Trump's wife made her first public appearance as she joined her husband for a briefing on hurricane preparedness at FEMA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. Andy Spade has released his first statement to The New York Times, saying his wife "suffered from depression and anxiety for many years" but there was "no indication and no warning that she would do this." | Busy Philipps Having A Panic Attack On Instagram Live Is TOO Relatable! Posted: 06 Jun 2018 03:09 PM PDT Stars --- they're just as anxious as us! Busy Philipps had a *minor* panic attack on her Instagram Story Tuesday night after she started suffering from sinus pain just two weeks after undergoing surgery to resolve the issue! The I Feel Pretty actress broke down in her New York City hotel room, frustrated over her sinuses and the fact that she started picking her face -- a nervous tick people sometimes perform when dealing with stress -- the day before she was supposed to film a guest spot on Law & Order: SVU. Related: Ariana Grande Gets Real About Her Mental Health! Busy tried to decompress with a bath, but of course the hotel tub was broken and only releasing "burning hot" water. So, she instead continued to unapologetically vent about her psychological woes. After receiving a text from her mom, the 38-year-old was feeling much better, and, by the next morning, had put her sinus and face-picking problems behind her.
