Mueller accuses Manafort of trying to tamper with witnesses

Click here   By Paul Vale     Tuesday, June 5  PUSHING ‘PERJURY’ Paul Manafort tried to tamper with potential witnesses in his forthcoming trial, according to a Monday court filing by special counsel Robert Mueller, who is asking a court to revise the pretrial release terms for Trump’s former campaign manager. Manafort was confined to his home in October while awaiting his trial on charges of money laundering and tax fraud. Trump then lied on Twitter, suggesting Eagles players were part of the protest that either stayed in the locker room or kneeled during the national anthem. They were not. [HuffPost] ‘A DISGRACE’ Fox News judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano tore into Trump’s legal team Monday, declaring the president's attorneys are “not serving him well.” The former judge was reacting to a letter from Trump’s team to the special counsel leaked over the weekend that argued the president could pardon himself to end the Russia probe. “When they make arguments like he can [pardon] himself,” Napolitano said. “Why even raise that?” [HuffPost] ‘OLD MATTRESS’ Millan Hupp, an aide of scandal-blighted EPA chief Scott Pruitt, was tasked with acquiring “an old mattress” from the Trump International Hotel in Washington for her boss, according to testimony to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Hupp told investigators she did not know know how, exactly, Pruitt planned to use the old bedding.
