A big thanks to everybody who bought a copy of our new book, How to Democrat in the Age of Trump. It's been hanging out in the top 20 in the category "political commentary & opinion," and the books in front of it are nearly all by right-wing writers and politicians – Newt Gingrich, Jerome Corsi, Dinesh D'Souza, Tucker Carlson, etc.
The conservative movement has figured out book publishing as a way to build a movement much more so than the left has, but we're trying to change that.
There'll be book parties all across the country for this one, with ones planned so far in Washington, New York, Chicago and Des Moines.

Aida Chavez and I have a story out today on candidates who grew up homeless, in foster care or in other difficult circumstances, and are now making serious bids for Congress. The new class of freshmen could be an interesting bunch, but they have to get past the party elite first.
Joe Crowley has agreed to debate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, his Democratic primary opponent. What had been a crazy, long-shot bid is now a real race. (Backstory is here.)
