| The Bachelor Alum Arie Luyendyk Jr. STILL Just Can't Figure Out Why He's So Unpopular… Posted: 28 May 2018 11:54 AM PDT There's a new, fascinating profile out in GQ of The Bachelor alum Arie Luyendyk Jr., and it's clear from reading the longform piece that the former racecar driver still can't quite figure out why people don't like him... But he's on the right track when he points out that awful breakup from Becca Kufrin at the end of last season's final episode only to turn around and choose Lauren Burnham in her place!!! GQ dives deep on Arie's new, private life in Scottsdale, Arizona alongside Lauren, and while the entire piece makes for a fascinating read (seriously, read it HERE), one part really stands out. It centers on that brutal breakup scene with Becca last season, and how Arie -- instead of taking blame for one of the most excruciating scenes in Bachelor history -- seems more content to throw everyone else under the bus for it (below):
Hmmm... Seems like a tough sell that a guy who spends so much time on reality TV and knows *exactly* how the business goes would suddenly fall back on the old-and-used-up excuse that "oh, it was edited to portray me poorly," and "it's all the editor's fault." Reports surfaced this week that her father Donald Trump's presidential administration has completely lost track of 1,500 migrant children who entered the country with their parents and families across the Mexican border. And while that alone is drawing scorn from all corners of American life, Ivanka made things worse with a very tone-deaf photo opp. Related: Netflix's New Acquisition: The Obamas! Yesterday, Ivanka posted this pic of her alongside 2-year-old son Theodore on her Instagram and Twitter accounts (below):
Very, very quickly, it drew the ire of thousands of Twitter users who couldn't help but see the unfortunate -- and uncaring -- parallels here between Ivanka's child and the missing migrant children. Posted: 28 May 2018 09:50 AM PDT Even though Eminem and Nicki Minaj aren't together (uh, we think?!), they sure aren't afraid to publicly flirt and mess with everybody by doing it! During a concert last night in Boston, Massachusetts, Eminem addressed the rumors of the two of them together, and asked the crowd in front of him as to whether they approved of the hip hop stars being a "power couple." | Solo: A Star Wars Story Lands FAR Behind Expectations At Memorial Day Weekend Box Office Posted: 28 May 2018 08:53 AM PDT This is not how they were planning things to go! Solo: A Star Wars Story is struggling mightily at the box office this weekend, bombing both across North America and around the world in an opening well below expectations for the Memorial Day Weekend. Related: Donald Says Recording With Beyoncé Was "Intimidating"! The Disney and Lucasfilm production was REALLY sluggish in its debut this weekend, in total bringing in just $84.8 million over the first three days of the weekend across North America, and landing a total $103 million domestic for its four-day holiday weekend debut. That's well behind expectations for the weekend, and even worse than what had originally been forecasted on Friday before the poor weekend began. The story overseas is just as bad, too -- Solo rolled out everywhere but Japan over the weekend, at it did bombed pretty much everywhere, bringing in just $65 million TOTAL overseas, including a lowly, miserable $10.1 million in China. That gives the film a global bow at just $168 million for the entire weekend; many prognosticators thought that the film would easily hit $300 million, but it didn't even come close... yikes!! As we reported earlier this weekend, RhymeFest wrote Kim an open letter asking for help for Donda's House -- the charity the producer founded with Kanye West back in Chicago years ago. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are all set to honeymoon at a lodge resort in Alberta, Canada! According to TMZ, the royal pair will be spending some time soon at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta for their post-wedding getaway -- in a 6,000 square foot cabin known as "The Royal Retreat." Related: Meghan Markle's Coat Of Arms Breaks Royal Tradition Nobody knows quite yet exactly when Harry and Meghan will show up, but we do know that there will be a heavy security presence from both British and Canadian officials when they do arrive. The cabin and resort itself is considered something of a legendary Canadian paradise, hidden out in the middle of Jasper National Park. Better yet, it has a long history of high-profile guests! King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother) stayed there back in 1939, and the current Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip stayed there as recently as 2005. Celebs vacation there, too, with the likes of Anthony Hopkins, John Travolta, and Bill Gates routinely showing up! Related: Would U Invite Your Ex To Your Wedding?? And for movie history buffs... the resort is where Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum filmed the 1954 classic River Of No Return, too. So there you go! As you know, Becca Kufrin's journey to love after being blindsided by Arie Luyendyk Jr. begins tonight on ABC. Sadly, this month will also mark the one-year anniversary of the death of Emily Maynard's former suitor, Michael Nance. He died in late May 2017 due to "multiple drug toxicity." Despite having cocaine, heroin, Clonazepam, and Gabapentin all in his system, Nance's passing has been ruled an accident. So heartbreaking. To make matters worse, this shocking passing hasn't been the only one that's occurred in recent years...
