Tessa Thompson SLAMS Lena Dunham Over Time's Up Involvement!

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 07:49 PM PST

The Thor: Ragnarok actress isn't afraid to bring down the hammer!

On Sunday, Tessa Thompson posted the following photo on Instagram which shows several members of the anti-harassment Time's Up movement -- including Reese Witherspoon, Amy Poehler, and Emma Stone -- the day before the Golden Globes.

The 34-year-old shared:

The Day Before. 6 hours, 60 artists, 8 activists and a lot of coffee. Tonight— it was televised.A post shared by Tessa Thompson (@tessamaethompson) on Jan 7, 2018 at 9:57pm PST

However, one commenter was dismayed to see one face in particular: Lena Dunham!

Specifically, the social media user took issue with the Girls star's defense of writer Murray Miller, who was accused of rape by actress Aurora Perrineau. As seen here:

Tessa responded saying Lena "was not anywhere present in our group during the countless hours of work for the last two months." When Dunham showed up to the "open house" on Saturday and posed for the picture, many were surprised.

Interesting enough, Lena posted the same pic on her Insta page, but -- as of this writing -- has turned off the comments section.

Tsk, tsk, tsk!

Kendall Jenner Is Proud Of Her Golden Globes Acne!

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 06:53 PM PST

Pimples and all!

As we reported on Sunday, Kendall Jenner attended the Golden Globes wearing a black Giambattista Valli couture dress in solidarity with the Time's Up movement.

Sadly, after pics of the KUWTK star went viral, she was criticized by online trolls for her acne!

On Tuesday, a Twitter fan came to the supermodel's rescue, and praised the 22-year-old's red carpet swag despite her facial blemishes. As seen here:

Miz Jenner agreed, and replied by saying:

As we reported in 2015, the catwalk diva has been open about her skin troubles, and reveals she had "such bad acne when [she] was younger." Kenny wrote on her website:

"Where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it. It completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn't even look at people when I talked to them… I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face. Sure, I had crushes in high school, but I wouldn't even think about looking at guys."

Fortunately, Kylie Jenner's sister doesn't take criticism personally, and has developed confidence and a positive self-image.

"Slowly, I'm working towards not caring and I'm just in so much of a better place about it all now that I'm older… I realized that it's a part of life for some people and it doesn't define who you are."

Acne or no acne, Kendall is FIERCE!

Donald Trump Once Said Oprah Was His First Pick For VP — Watch!

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 05:59 PM PST

Oprah Winfrey struck a chord with millions with her highly inspirational speech at the Golden Globes.

So much so that, just as Seth Meyers joked in his opening monologue, people for real said she should run for president!

And believe it or not, even Donald Trump thought she was a good choice, calling her his "first pick" for VP when he unsuccessfully first tried to run in 2000!

Of course, this was also a time when Trump said he thought the Republicans were "too far right" and that he was "somewhat liberal on social issues, especially healthcare."

Lena Dunham & Jack Antonoff Are No Longer A Couple!

All good things must come to an end...

According to E! News, Lena Dunham and boyfriend Jack Antonoff called it quits in December after being together for five years.

Fortunately, their split was amicable, and there appears to be no bad blood. An insider reveals:

"It was mutual... Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship where it was."

Despite the breakup, the Girls star and the Bleachers frontman -- who first started dating in 2012 -- still have respect for each other, and are both "moving on" with their lives.

"They want the best for each other no matter what. They are both moving on."

As seen (above), their last public event together was a Grammys pre-party in February 2017.

In 2014, the musician told New York Magazine the two were set up on a blind date by comedian Mike Birbiglia. He remembers:

"I told Lena everything about my whole life, because when you really like someone, you want them to know everything about you."

Neither party has publicly addressed the breakup.

Actress Explains Why She Refused To Wear Black At The Golden Globes!

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 05:27 PM PST

The women of Hollywood came together for a powerful statement on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday, wearing black in support of the #MeToo and now #TimesUp movements!

Unfortunately they didn't represent a completely unified front; a handful of women bucked the trend.

Did they somehow not hear about it? Not care?

Photos: ALL The Golden Globes Red Carpet Looks!

German actress Barbara Meier posted a lengthy explanation on Instagram for her own choice to go with a floral gown despite thinking #TimesUp was "a great and extremely important initiative."

Unlike Rose McGowan, who called those who participated phonies, Meier supports her fellow actresses but says women shouldn't have to give anything up to protest:

"If we want this to be the Golden globes of the strong women who stand up for their rights, I think, it's the wrong way not to wear any sexy clothes anymore or let people take away our joy of showing our personality through fashion... We should not have to wear black to be taken serious."

Of course women shouldn't have to wear black. They shouldn't have to do any of this.

But when so many of your colleagues have come up with such a simple way to show your solidarity, is it really too much to ask not to protest the protest??

Ch-ch-check out Barbara's entire explanation (below) and decide for yourself whether her point is valid.

(c) @gettyentertainment --- A lot of women will wear black tonight to support the time's up movement! I think this is a great and extremely important initiative! Nevertheless I decided to wear a colorful dress tonight. If we want this to be the Golden globes of the strong women who stand up for their rights, I think, it's the wrong way not to wear any sexy clothes anymore or let people take away our joy of showing our personality through fashion. We were fighting a long time for the freedom to wear what we want to and that it is also ok, to dress up a little more sexy. If we now restrict this, because some men can't control themselves, this is a huge step back in my opinion. We should not have to wear black to be taken serious. US women should shine, be colorful and sparkle. Just like it is our nature. In my opinion this symbolizes our freedom and our new strength. But to make clear: A lot of bad things happened and should never happen again!!!A post shared by Barbara Meier (@barbarameier) on Jan 7, 2018 at 3:59pm PST

Kanye West FaceTimed With A Dying Fan — And Didn't Tell Anyone About It

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 04:37 PM PST

The next time you hear someone refer to Kanye West as a self-centered egomaniac, tell them this story.

Apparently the Gold Digger rapper was contacted by a family around New Year's Day who had been trying to get in touch for some time.

Their pre-teen daughter was dying of cancer, and her final wish was to have Yeezy rap a song for her. When Kanye heard, he immediately jumped on FaceTime to spend some time with the superfan.

And it wasn't for the story either. The reason we're only hearing about it nearly a week later is because a family acquaintance shared on Twitter -- Kanye never did.

Get more deets (below):

Before you cynics out there dismiss the story, Kim Kardashian West actually confirmed it a few days later, tweeting:

Afterward TMZ looked into the story and found out, sadly, the young girl died just hours after getting her wish.

The song? I Love Kanye, off of The Life Of Pablo.

Versace Family Blasts Upcoming American Crime Story Season As 'Fiction' — Read Their Grave Warning To Viewers!

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 03:20 PM PST

The Versace family wants to warn you about the upcoming season of American Crime Story.

Less than 10 days before its premiere, the fashion family wants viewers to know that this season of FX's crime anthology, which examines the murder of Gianni Versace, was not done with its blessing.

Related: Ryan Murphy Was 'Very Emotional' Over Disney Buying Fox Studios

On Monday, the family said The Assassination Of Gianni Versace should be considered as only a "work of fiction," writing in a statement:

"The Versace family has neither authorized nor had any involvement whatsoever in the forthcoming TV series about the death of Mr. Gianni Versace. Since Versace did not authorize the book on which it is partly based nor has it taken part in the writing of the screenplay, this TV series should only be considered as a work of fiction."

A slap in the face to Ryan Murphy.

The family's gripe mostly comes from the source material: Vanity Fair writer Maureen Orth's book about the murder, Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History -- a nonfiction the Versaces also did NOT authorize.

Photo: Naked Ricky Martin On Instagram Giving Us LA VIDA!

But FX is standing by it's use of the "heavily researched" best-seller. The studio said in response:

"Like the original American Crime Story series The People vs. OJ Simpson, which was based on Jeffrey Toobin's nonfiction bestseller The Run of His Life, FX's follow-up The Assassination Of Gianni Versace is based on Maureen Orth's heavily researched and authenticated nonfiction best-seller Vulgar Favors, which examined the true life crime spree of Andrew Cunanan. We stand by the meticulous reporting of Ms. Orth."

FX has Ryan's back!

Such a statement from the family wasn't exactly shocking, given that the Versaces did not give costume designer Lou Eyrich any support in designing the wardrobe for the season. Without a thread from the family, Eyrich instead bought hundreds of vintage Versace from dealers around the world.

Will you be watching the piece of *fiction* when Versace premieres January 17 on FX?
