As we reported, Kendall Jenner released her new Pepsi commercial which features the KUWTK star leaving a photoshoot for a protest where she gives a can of soda to a monitoring cop. The bizarre ending seemingly signifies that a soft drink can bring about unity between authority and demonstrators, who have had a tumultuous relationship in our current political climate. According to a new report, we now know why. When they finally confronted her, the 41-year-old singer had trouble covering up the truth. When people from her inner circle threatened to call the cops, the America's Got Talent host begged them not to in fear that Belafonte would either kill them or her! Sounds like an absolutely HORRIFYING ordeal! As we wrote, on Monday, the musician was granted a restraining order against her ex, and the judge ordered Stephen to leave their Hollywood Hills home. However, Mel B has no plans to live at her El Lay residence, given the devastating memories. On the same day Belafonte was kicked out, she lowered the price on the mansion by a million dollars even though the property has only been on sale for two weeks. She is now asking for $7.995 million. Her first single off the upcoming hopeless fountain kingdom album (out June 2) is a moody little loop called Now Or Never. We like it, but it's not grabbing us. The video goes the other way, introducing us to what Halsey calls "the hopeless fountain kingdom universe," which we assume means this is the first of many vids in the setting. In an interesting turn of events, Kim Kardashian West finally dropped the new Kimoji merch she's been teasing to Instagram this week, and it's not exactly what we expected from the supposed non-smoker and non-drinker... There's a also a "baggie bandana" that probably isn't meant to look like the plastic bag you put your lunch. Food challenges have resulted in tragedy over the past week when two separate eating competitions led to the choking deaths of ill-fated participants. A sorority girl at Sacred Heart University died on Sunday after choking on a pancake during a Greek life event on campus. Caitlin Nelson, a junior studying social work at the Connecticut college, had eaten four or five pancakes on Friday when she started shaking uncontrollably and collapsed. Related: Zoey 101 Alum Saves Infant Baby From Car Accident! Police say the 20-year-old spit out some pieces of pancake, but was unresponsive and not breathing when they arrived on the scene. Officers were not successfully able to use the Heimlich maneuver. The Kappa Delta sorority sister, whose father, James Nelson, was a Port Authority police officer who died on 9/11, was transferred to a New York hospital on Friday in critical but stable condition. She passed away Sunday. But competitive eating had another victim to claim on Sunday -- a 42-year-old Colorado man who choked to death devouring a giant donut. According to reports, Travis Malouff was participating in an eating challenge at Voodoo Doughnut when he began choking. Two witnesses reportedly tried to help, but didn't know how to perform the Heimlich. Related: Suge Knight Claims These Two People Killed Tupac!! Paramedics received the call around 1:30 a.m., shortly before he died in the shop's lobby from "asphyxia, due to obstruction of the airway," according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. Malouff was taking part in the shop's "Tex-Ass Challenge," which involves eating a massive donut 7-inches in diameter -- about the size of six regular donuts -- in less than 80 seconds. A witness told KUSA that the challenge is "too much food for one person" and that the victim "was trying to force it down" to win the prize, supposedly a button and a free meal. Both deaths are being regarded as extraordinarily tragic; particularly Nelson's, as the fatal pancake eating contest was part of a school charity event. Our hearts go out to the victims' families. It appears as though McDonald's is considering bringing back the Szechuan McNugget Sauce they distributed back in the '90s as a promotion for the Disney animated flick Mulan. And it appears as though we have the TV show Rick and Morty to thank for this news! Video: Kendall Jenner's New Pepsi Commercial Is So Very Random On April Fool's Day, Adult Swim treated Rick and Morty fans to a new episode after going on hiatus back in 2015. The episode features a Szechuan McNugget Sauce-obsessed Rick, who goes on a rant about bringing back the beloved sauce. Specifically, the character noted:
HIGHlarious! Fans were quick to jump on the Szechuan sauce bandwagon as they started a petition on Change.org where they demanded McDonald's bring back the promotional side. At the time of writing this piece, the petition had around 22,066 supporters. WHOA! Not to mention, the outcry got the attention of a corporate chef for the fast food powerhouse. Chef Mike Haracz revealed on Twitter:
AH-Mazing! We mean, it would make sense for McDonald's to bring back the sauce since Disney is currently working on a live action remake of Mulan. In fact, on Sunday the A-lister decided to clear up a 20-year rumor that she feuded with Julia Roberts on the set of their flick Step-Mom. In case you forgot, back in the late '90s rumors swirled that Miz Sarandon and Miz Roberts butted-heads while working on the comedy-drama.
