Violet Brown, a resident of Trelawny Parish in Jamaica, has been declared the oldest known person in the world. Brown, affectionately known as “Aunt V,” does not eat pork or chicken, and enjoys “sweet potatoes, Irish potatoes, breadfruit, and fruits, especially oranges and mangoes,” according to the Jamaican Observer.  The life and work of Esther Afua Ocloo has been celebrated in the latest Google Doodle, on what would have been the businesswoman’s 98th birthday.Support is pouring in for the family of Robert Godwin, the 74-year-old victim gunned down in Cleveland on a video posted to Facebook on Sunday. Arizona State University student Wesley Davis, who has no connection to Godwin’s family, launched a GoFundMe to help in their time of grief. Davis is working directly with the fundraising platform to ensure the family receives the donations, according to KPNX.
