Posted: 29 Mar 2017 05:52 PM PDT

This marks the first time a lead female character of a teen drama has coupled up with someone transgender.

Maia told TVGuide.com that this relationship is "breaking down barriers" regarding trans representation in the media. She said:

"[The episode] touches on a lot of things for trans kids, especially the relationship between Callie and Aaron. It's really important that we do see the heroine female of a show in a relationship with a trans man... I think it's breaking down barriers. I don't think I've seen that, especially not on a show with our demographic. It's a really important issue and it's going to speak to a lot of people, particularly the trans community. I'm really proud of it."

When the two characters became official, fans couldn't contain their excitement! As seen on Twitter:

Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka, & Lucy Boynton Using A Ouija Board Is The Opposite Of Spooky! But These Stars Really DO Believe In Ghosts!

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 05:05 PM PDT

It's just like being 13 years old and playing with a Ouija board at a sleepover! Yeah, nothing happened then either...

Instead of a traditional interview, Vanity Fair decided to have a little fun with the stars of the upcoming limited release horror film The Blackcoat's Daughter -- well, we say "fun"...

Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka, and Lucy Boynton tried to contact the other side with a Ouija board, and alas -- Donna Summer was not home this time.

Apparently starring in American Horror Story didn't give Emma an "in" with the undead after all.

Watch their decidedly UN-scary efforts (above) then see some stars who still believe (below)!

Ivanka Trump Officially Takes A White House Job Because Why Not At This Point…

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 04:32 PM PDT

Why keep up pretense? It's not like there's any REAL body policing Donald Trump's behavior.

We're pretty sure Devin Nunes proved that.

Video: Seth Meyers HIGHlariously Compares Donald To THE DUDE!

So now, after already serving as an informal adviser to POTUS from her office in the West Wing, Ivanka Trump is making things official, taking the title of "assistant to the President."

In a press release announcing the move, which marks a 180 degree flop from her claim in the Trump family's group 60 Minutes interview that she would remain "a daughter," Ivanka explained:

"I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the president in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules and I will instead serve as an unpaid employee in the White House Office, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees."

She says she'll be unpaid, but then again Drumpf said he wasn't going to take a salary as President either, so we know what that word is worth. Ivanka continued:

"Throughout this process, I have been working closely and in good faith with the White House Counsel and my personal counsel to address the unprecedented nature of my role."

Um, is it just us or should someone OUTSIDE the White House determine whether everyone in the White House is being ethical??

Up until now Ivanka, whose husband Jared Kushner is already senior adviser, has already been very involved in White House business. She sat next to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau during their visits (she even shook hands properly with them).

But because Ivanka wasn't a government employee, she had legal leeway to avoid certain rules. This move is ostensibly to quell ethical concerns over her access.

But the White House's statement on the matter gives a clearer picture of what the new role will actually entail:

"Ivanka's service as an unpaid employee furthers our commitment to ethics, transparency, and compliance and affords her increased opportunities to lead initiatives driving real policy benefits for the American public that would not have been available to her previously."

Hmm. More Trumps with more power. Yay.

At least they couldn't get much worse, right?

Vanderpump Rules Ruined Scheana Marie & Mike Shay's Marriage!

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 03:45 PM PDT

Scheana Marie knows the exact moment she knew it was over with Mike Shay.

But if you pay close attention to her cautionary tale, you'll see it was over before she even knew it!

Related: Scheana Is Dating THIS Famous Supermodel's Brother Now!

Spilling to E! News before the April 3 reunion special, the Vanderpump Rules star told her side of the breakup, detailing the downward spiral of her marriage, leading up to the moment she knew she had to end things:

"There were a lot of things from the beginning of our marriage that kind of tainted the whole relationship. Three months in I found out he had a pill problem. Right before our one-year anniversary, I saw some inappropriate text messages."

TBH, we might be out even at this point. These are some red flags so big, Donald Trump would get confused and salute them. But even Mike's cheating isn't the biggest blow for Marie:

"Then, fast forward to our second anniversary, and I'm just trying to pretend like everything's fine, because in my mind, we're married -- for better or for worse. This is the worse part, but we have the rest of our lives to figure it out. This is a temporary rough patch. I kept telling myself that, 'It'll get better. It'll get better.' And it did. In the beginning of 2016, everything was genuinely good. Then the cameras turned on again, and then he changed. That's when I found out he started using again."

Did you miss it? That's OK, we'll recap later.

Now about Mike using pills...

"I didn't know that at the time. My mom and other people around me had noticed a change in his behavior. I was either oblivious to it or I just didn't want to believe what I was seeing right in front of my face... I was always making excuses, but in hindsight I'm like, 'Oh, my God!' All of these things are plain as day and I just didn't see it."

Even a couples vacay with newlyweds Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz in September didn't help. Because as nice as it was, things were worse than ever when they got back.

Scheana says she and Mike barely ever interacted:

"We were growing apart more and more. And then, towards the end of October, he just didn't come home one day."

That day happened to be one in which Scheana was dealing with grief over the passing of a family member. Bad form, fella.

Related: Woman Unknowingly Picks Up Boyfriend's SIDE CHICK In Her Uber

But shockingly even that wasn't the final straw. Scheana explained:

"During those two weeks, I was still willing to forgive him for leaving me the day someone passed away and taking all of this money out of my account and all of these things. I'm like, 'I can get past pretty much anything.'"

"Pretty much anything" did not include what happened next. Scheana revealed:

"I found out he was buying pills again. That's when I was like, 'I'm going to give him one more chance to tell me the truth.' ... I looked him in the eyes and he lied to me. That's when I was like, 'Now I don't have another choice. I know I fully cannot trust you ever again.' ... I was like, 'I'm now done. I'm done. I'm done. Nothing at all can change my mind. I was willing to forgive you after you left me, and try and move past that, and work through it and start over and become best friends again and do all of this.' I was still willing to try. The second I found out he was still lying to me -- and had been for six to eight months -- I was done."

Scheana then asked for a divorce, which apparently blindsided Mike. We guess he was too self-centered to realize how self-centered he was being?

OK, we promised we'd come back to THAT moment we saw in her story. And here it was:

"Then the cameras turned on again, and then he changed."

Yeah. It was filming the show that made Mike change.

Was it something specific Vanderpump producers did? Probably not. Some people just act differently when the cameras are on.

But according to the story Scheana is telling, we think THIS is the moment their marriage was doomed.

What do YOU think, Perezcious readers??

The IT Remake's New Pennywise Is Just The Latest Scary Clown We Have To Worry About…

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 03:31 PM PDT

Horror remakes tend to stir up a fraction of the original film's fright.

That being said, Warner Brothers' IT remake looks straight up TERRIFYING!!!!

The latest adaptation of Stephen King's horror classic dropped its first trailer on Wednesday, featuring a sinister, sewer-dwelling Pennywise the Clown terrorizing a group of children we do not envy.

Maybe it's the current clown-fearing climate we live in, but this monstrous Pennywise looks like he'd eat Tim Curry's comical version for breakfast.

Of course, the OG is still one of the most terrifying clowns in horror history. See what other scary clowns the new Pennywise will have to live up to...

Teen Mom's Jenelle Evans Dishes On Her Wedding Plans — Will Her Mother Be Invited??

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 03:16 PM PDT

Exciting times for Jenelle Evans!

Not only did the Teen Mom star recently welcome a baby girl, Ensley Jolie Eason, in January... she's also planning her upcoming nuptials to her beau, David, this fall!

Related: Jenelle's Tell-All Book Is Finally Happening!

Talking to E! News about the couple's plans for the big day, the 25-year-old said she's wanting something that's "elegant" with a "sweet and Southern" twist, but also for the affair to be a "small, private" gathering:

"Only close friends and family [will be invited]."

Does that mean momma Barbara Evans (with whom she has the most tumultuous relationship on reality TV) won't be present??

Janelle explained that's still up in the air:

"The relationship I have with my mother is the same as it has always been, sadly. We have not decided if she will be invited or not. Our relationship is getting more damaged every day, but I have already told her this."

Aside from the family dramz, it sounds like the rest of the brood is on board.

Jenelle plans to have all the kids (Ensley, Jace Evans and Kaiser Griffith, and David's daughter, Maryssa) involved, and she already knows how:

"I definitely think that Ensley will be old enough to be a flower girl alongside David's daughter, Maryssa. While reading our vows I would like the girls to be part of the bridesmaids and the boys to be part of the groomsmen."

So adorable!

Next up, wedding dress shopping in NYC! Good luck, you two!

Locals Find Missing Indonesian Man Inside Massive Python — Watch The Disturbing Video

Posted: 29 Mar 2017 03:03 PM PDT

Meanwhile, outside the bubble...

A missing Indonesian man was found inside a gigantic reticulated python on the island of Sulawesi.

According to local press, Akbar Salubiro (above) was reported missing on Monday -- 24 hours after failing to return from harvesting palm oil.

Photo: Loose Snake Freaks Out Passengers On Flight!

Villagers began searching for the 25-year-old at the site, only finding a harvesting tool, palm fruit, and one of his boots left behind.

Later, the search team stumbled upon a resting python and suspected that it might have eaten Salubiro.

Village secretary Salubiro Junaidi told The Jakarta Post:

"People had heard cries from the palm grove the night before Akbar was found in the snake's stomach. When the snake was captured, the boots Akbar was wearing were clearly visible in the stomach of the snake.

Lo and behold, the 23-foot-long reptile was cut open, and the missing man's body was found. If you think you can stomach the full, uncensored image, you can see for yourself:

Though reticulated pythons rarely attack humans, and typically prefer to eat small to medium-sized mammals; squeezing their prey to death before swallowing it whole.

Local news agency Tribun Timur posted a video of the villagers cutting open the snake at night. In the clip, people gathered around as the snake's skin was pulled back, revealing Salubiro's intact body laying on its side.

How unthinkably devastating.

How Frozen Was Originally Written Is Dark AF!

Oh man...

While we knew Idina Menzel's character in Frozen was originally supposed to be a straightforward villain, we didn't realize how freakin' dark the OG script was for the 2013 Disney hit.

In fact, the flick's producer Peter Del Vecho revealed how Queen Elsa's characterization helped the movie do a 180 from being a tired fairy tale to the most successful animated film of all time!

Related: Zac Efron Promises To 'Make It Up' To Paris Jackson!

While chatting with Entertainment Weekly, Peter explained:

"With all the movies we were work on, eventually the film tells you what it needs to be and if you're smart enough to listen to that, it leads you to a different direction than perhaps your preconceived notion... So when we started off, Anna and Elsa were not sisters. They weren't even royal. So Anna was not a princess. Elsa was a self-proclaimed Snow Queen, but she was a villain and pure evil — much more like the Hans Christian Andersen tale. We started out with an evil female villain and an innocent female heroine and the ending involved a big epic battle with snow monsters that Elsa had created as her army…"

Not to mention, early drafts of Frozen featured a prophecy that stated "a ruler with a frozen heart will bring destruction to the kingdom of Arendelle." Apparently, Elsa's backstory was that she gained her magical powers after getting a frozen heart from being stood up at the altar. At the end of the film, it is revealed that Prince Hans is the royal from the prophecy as he causes an avalanche which could destroy all of Arendell.

Anna, the pure-hearted heroine, convinces Elsa to use her powers to save the kingdom and, in result, the self-proclaimed Snow Queen's heart thaws.

Sadly, there was nothing new about this story line... and the Frozen team knew it. Del Vecho continued:

"The problem was that we felt like we had seen it before. It wasn't satisfying. We had no emotional connection to Elsa — we didn't care about her because she had spent the whole movie being the villain. We weren't drawn in. The characters weren't relatable."

Fair, fair!

While trying to make Miz Menzel's character more likable, directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee began exploring the possibility of making Elsa and Anna related. The industry vet explained:

"Making them related led us to the idea of her living in fear of her powers. What if she's afraid of who she is? And afraid of hurting the ones she loves? Now we had a character in Anna who was all about love and Elsa who was all about fear. That led to making Elsa a much more dimensional sympathetic character, and instead of the traditional good vs. evil theme we had one that we felt was more relatable: Love vs. fear, and the premise of the movie became that love is stronger than fear."

Now that's the Frozen we know and love! However, it still took some time to perfect the ending as Peter noted:

"Now that they're related, Elsa had her own fear and it was Anna who would save the day instead of Elsa by rescuing her sister — and it would be that selfless act that thawed Elsa's heart. Once we landed on that idea for an ending [Disney animation chief] Ed Catmull called in Jen Lee and said, 'If you can make that ending pay off and if we can really feel it, I think we'll have a successful film. And if you don't … we'll have nothing.' … So that really put the pressure on her to make that work."

Thankfully, story artist John Ripa helped solve the ending issue by coming up with the idea that Elsa causes a white out blizzard with her emotions. In this blizzard, Prince Hans showed is true colors and Anna is able to be there for her sister when she is needed most.

On how Ripa pitched the ending, the producer dished:

"He went off, boarded it and came back in, and what he showed was that Elsa's emotions created a white out blizzard. That allowed us to isolate Hans and Elsa from Anna searching for Kristoff through the mist. That way we can reveal Kristoff just moments before we reveal Elsa to Anna, and it allowed the timing we needed. When he pitched that ending [Disney Chief Creative Officer] John Lasseter, the directors and the whole story team stood up and gave him a standing ovation. He helped crack visually how we were going to depict that ending."

AH-Mazing! We're so glad the Frozen team was able to figure it all out, because we don't know how we'd handle the OG version of the movie...
