Donald Trump Gives First Interview As President-Elect On 60 Minutes — Here Is Everything You Need To Know About His Plans For The Office

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 05:52 PM PST

Now that Donald Trump has successfully swindled won the election, the people have many questions.

Aside from his past scandals, controversial comments, and half-baked government policies that seem like they were planned by Wile E. Coyote, the biggest thing on our minds is… can The Donald actually come across as presidential?

On Sunday, we got a taste of a Trump White House when the President-elect had his first extensive post-election interview on 60 Minutes.

Related: Silicon Valley Star Harassed By Trump Supporters!

Of course, we've already heard a bit from the President-elect's interview on CBS -- including an apparent inclination to walk back some of his campaign promises already by not fully repealing and replacing Obamacare!

Disturbingly, The Donald has also shown a willingness to immediately deport as many as three million undocumented immigrants when he takes office in January.

Awful -- and scary -- and it's a stance we can already see people backing with glee across America.

There's more, though; speaking to Lesley Stahl, the 70-year-old sat down with his family, including Melania, Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric, and Donald Jr. at their Fifth Avenue residence in New York City.

Trump dove deep on Obamacare in the interview, saying that he liked some aspects of the health care law and adding:

"Yes [to keeping some provisions of the Affordable Care Act], because it happens to be one of the strongest assets [covering people with pre existing conditions]. Also, with the children living with their parents for an extended period, we're going to very much try and keep that. It adds cost, but it's very much something we're going to try and keep."

Also, The Donald claims that even though he wants to replace Obamacare at least in part, he doesn't want to leave people without health care in the interim:

"We're going to do it simultaneously. It'll be just fine. That's what I do. I do a good job. You know, I mean, I know how to do this stuff. We're going to repeal it and replace it. And we're not going to have, like, a two-day period and we're not going to have a two-year period where there's nothing. It will be repealed and replaced. I mean, you'll know. And it'll be great health care for much less money."

We'll see about that...

Trump also discussed Twitter at length during the interview -- because, well, why not?! It's his favorite social network, after all.

Related: Rudy Giuliani Wants To Lock Hillary Clinton Up!

He praised the social network as a key to getting him elected, in fact:

"I find it tremendous. It's a modern form of communication. There should be nothing we should be ashamed of … It's where it's at … I do believe this, I really believe that the fact that I have such power in terms of numbers with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, et cetera -- I think it helped me win all of these races where they're spending much more money than I spent … Social media has more power than the money they spent, and I think maybe to a certain extent, I proved that."

But as President, he hinted that he may use the 140-character account very, very differently:

"I'm going to be very restrained, if I use it at all, I'm going to be very restrained ... It's a great form of communication. Now do I say I'll give it up entirely? I'm not saying I love it, but it does get the word out. When you give me a bad story or when you give me an inaccurate story or when somebody other than you and another -- a network, or whatever, 'cause of course, CBS would never do a thing like that right? I have a method of fighting back."

That's interesting to see if he actually uses Twitter a little more responsibly, but perhaps also a little... disturbing... for him to call out media organizations like that, too.

One person Trump did enjoy after the election was the current President, Barack Obama.

Speaking about the hour-and-a-half long meeting The Donald had with him at the White House to discuss the transition, the President-elect said:

"This was going to be just a quick little chat and it lasted close to an hour and a half, and it could have gone for four hours. It was almost hard breaking it up because we had so many things to say. He told me the good things and the bad things. There are things that are tough right now. ... I don't want to divulge, but we talked about the Middle East and that's tough, it's a tough situation, and I wanted to get his full view. And I got part of his view, and it's important to have that, because I'm going to be inheriting that situation in a very short period of time."

And Trump continued, praising the President himself:

"I found him to be terrific. I found him to be very smart, and very nice, great sense of humor, as much as you can have a sense of humor talking about tough subjects. And we were talking about victories also, and some things that he feels really good about. But what I really wanted to focus on was Middle East, North Korea, Obamacare was tough, that's a tough situation."

Whoa, positive words for Obama?! Imagine that...

Trump went on to discuss Stahl's immediate surprise that he -- after months of a scorched-earth campaign -- could be so positive to the President:

"I think I'm a sober person. I think the press tries to make you into something a little bit different, in my case, a little bit of a wild man. I'm actually not. I'm a very sober person. But it was respect for the office, it was respect for the president. I had never met him before, but we had a very good chemistry going. I really found, it might not be that I agree with him, but I found the conversation really interesting ... It was a very interesting thing because ... I said terrible things about him, he said terrible things about me, but we never discussed what we said about each other. We never, ever discussed what we said about each other ... I'll be honest, from my standpoint, zero. Zero. And it's strange, I'm surprised to tell you that, but it was a little bit strange."

Trump is far from the only person finding all of this strange.

Related: LOL At Billy Bush's Potential Next Gig!

There's PLENTY more Donald Trump where all this came from, though, and the hour-long interview continued on various topics, including these important ones (below)!!!

On not regretting the nastiness of his campaign against Hillary Clinton:

"Well, it was a double-sided nasty. They were tough, and I was tough, and do I regret ... we're going to do a great job for the country. We're going to make America great again. That's what we began with and where we are now ... I can't regret it. I wish it were softer, and I wish it were nicer, and I wish it were more in policy, or whatever you want to say. But I will say that it really is something that I am very proud of, it was a tremendous campaign."

On whether he will act more "presidential" once in office:

"I'll conduct myself in a very good manner, but it depends on what the situation is. Sometimes you have to be rougher. When I look at the world, and you look at how various places are taking advantage of our country, and I say it and I say it very proudly, it's going to be America first ... We're losing this country, and that's why I won the election, and by the way I won it easily. Easily. Sometimes you need a certain rhetoric to get people motivated. I don't want to be a nice little monotone character."

Hmm...

On whether Roe V. Wade will be repealed by the Supreme Court during his administration, and how he sees the fight for abortion rights:

"Here's what's going to happen. I'm pro-life. The judges will be pro-life. They'll be pro-life, they'll be in terms of the whole gun situation, we know the whole Second Amendment and everybody is talking about the second amendment and they are trying to dice it up and change it, they are going to be very pro-Second Amendment. Having to do with abortion, if it ever were overturned, it would go back to the states ... It'll go back to the states. [On women then losing the right] Well, perhaps they will have to go to another state. We'll see what happens. It's got a long way to go, just so you understand. That has a long, long way to go."

Shameful!!

Related: Trump Is ALREADY Walking Back Campaign Promises!

On hateful attacks and racist aggressions being made against people of color and other minorities after his victory on Tuesday:

"I am very surprised to hear [about the attacks]. I hate to hear that. I don't hear it, I see one or two instances, but I think it's very small amount. I would [tell those people] don't do it, it's terrible, because I am going to bring this country together ... I am so saddened to hear that, and I say stop it, if it helps. I will say this, and I'll say it right to the camera: stop it."

And on whether he will take the presidential salary of roughly $400,000 per year:

"I've never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think by law I have to take a dollar, so I will take one dollar a year, but I will not take it. I'm not taking it ... [On whether this has hurt the Trump brand] This is big league stuff. This is our country. Our country is going bad ... I don't care about hotel occupancy."

Uh-huh.

Later in the interview, as we mentioned up top, all of his adult children joined in, as well as his wife, Melania, and they all said... pretty much what they've been saying this entire campaign.

The kids will stay in New York and run the business (that means NO cabinet position for Ivanka), Melania REALLY wants to help with cyber bullying awareness (a wonderful cause if her husband weren't quite literally the worst offender), and everybody is honored and proud of their dad.

Well there you have it -- four years of Donald Trump will begin in January, and this is the first deep look at what it all means for the country.

Let us know what you think of ALL this in the comments (below)!!!

Donald Trump Names Chief Of Staff In First HUGE Move Towards Running The White House

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 04:47 PM PST

We already know Donald Trump absolutely does not want to live in Washington, DC -- but he just made his HUGE first move towards governing there.

On Sunday afternoon, just hours before his major interview with 60 Minutes is set to hit airwaves, The Donald announced his Chief of Staff for the White House.

It's a familiar name, too: Reince Priebus.

Related: Trump's First Order Of Business? Deporting MILLIONS

That's right, the chairman of the Republican National Committee -- who at times had a strained relationship with The Donald on the campaign trail, and yet was ultimately loyal to the President-elect -- is set to be White House Chief of Staff in Trump's administration.

In and of itself, that's the first really BIG thing done by Trump ahead of his January inauguration. Beyond that, it's a signal to his aggressive base that Trump might be ALREADY going against their wishes!!

See, The Donald chose Priebus -- an "establishment" guy -- for Chief of Staff ahead of Stephen Bannon, the outsider Breitbart News chief who ran Trump's campaign!

Bannon, far more favored by Trump's voters than Priebus, was still given a position in the new administration, though, as "chief strategist and senior counselor" in the White House, according to the New York Times.

Related: Sounds Like Rudy Giuliani Still Wants To 'Lock Her Up'

Bannon was nice about it in a statement, saying:

"[Priebus and I] had a very successful partnership on the campaign, one that led to victory. We will have that same partnership in working to help President-elect Trump achieve his agenda."

OK... But it's not Chief of Staff!

And maybe, just maybe, this is why Bannon wasn't named Chief of Staff (below):

WHAT?! THIS person is going to be working in the White House?!

Oh come on!!!

And yet the fact that Trump IMMEDIATELY turned back to an establishment pick like Priebus just days after getting elected ought to make his base... mad.

Oh boy.

We've said it before and we'll say it again, it's going to be a long four years...

One Year After The Paris Attacks, The Bataclan Reopens With A Powerful Performance By Sting

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 03:57 PM PST

This is so moving.

One year ago last night, the entire world was rocked by the horrific and senseless terror attacks on Paris that left 89 people dead, including at the Bataclan theater during a performance by the Eagles of Death Metal.

Now, exactly one year later, the theater has reopened, with Sting delivering an incredible and memorable performance and a poignant message to those in attendance to commemorate those lives lost in the attacks.

It's a very powerful video (above), emotional to watch and think back to where we all were one year ago.

Our thoughts continue to be with all those affected, for we know though time may diminish the pain of loss, it never entirely subsides.

Lock Her Up?? Rudy Giuliani Says Donald Trump's Presidential Administration May Still Prosecute Hillary Clinton Over Private Email Server

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 03:21 PM PST

This is getting to the point of ridiculousness, and is unbecoming of any presidential administration's staffers and advisers. And yet we're talking about Rudy Giuliani here, so...

The former mayor of New York City, who now serves as a vice chairman to Donald Trump's presidential transition team, said on Sunday morning that the potential to prosecute Hillary Clinton over her private email server is a possibility come next year.

Related: Trump's First Order Of Business? Deporting MILLIONS

Speaking to ABC's George Stephanopoulos on This Week, Giuliani was asked if it would be a good idea to go forward with a prosecution of Clinton.

In response, Rudy proceeded to tongue tie himself in a weird word salad, but came away with this:

"That's a tough one, George, it really is. As a lawyer, I hate to use the 'on the one hand, but the other,' but on the one hand, you don't want to disrupt the nation with what might look like a vindictive prosecution, even though it might not be. On the other hand, you want equal justice under the law, and if she has violated the law ― you know, the FBI never completed the [Clinton] Foundation investigation. That's, as far as I know, that's still an ongoing investigation. They completed the email investigation, but not the Foundation investigation."

Uh... OK.

That's only half of it, though -- Giuliani continued by being more definitive about the possibility of a prosecution:

"Exactly what you do with that, I guess the next attorney general is going to have to figure that out. I don't know if that will be me or not, but the next attorney general would have to figure that out. And I'm going to make a guess, not a definitive statement, I would think if you had to make a decision like that, you'd give it ― you'd give that to an independent counsel. You wouldn't make it as the appointee of the new president. We have a lot of precedence for that; we've done that in the past. Or maybe that you want to sort of put that behind you. I don't know, that's a tough decision."

It's not a tough decision for Trump himself, who has recently said -- to his credit -- that he has far bigger issues to take care of than prosecuting Clinton.

Related: Trump Is ALREADY Walking Back Campaign Promises!

Even other Republican leaders don't seem to keen on actually prosecuting Hillary, like Republican House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who said this morning on FOX News Sunday that nowhere on his agenda is he looking to prosecute Clinton, and added:

"I leave that portion to law enforcement."

And yet Giuliani -- who might become Attorney General, and would thus be the one to decide whether to prosecute Clinton -- refuses to give it up.

Scary. And considering the FBI has already investigated and moved on multiple times, also highly irresponsible.

Related: SNL's Post-Election Episode Was Incredible

Somehow this isn't much of a surprise, though, considering the GOP base loved to chant "Lock her up!" during the last 18 months of The Donald's run to the White House.

Disgraced TODAY Host Billy Bush Is Being Pursued By Breitbart News To Cover Hollywood!

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 02:04 PM PST

Oh how the mighty have fallen...

Billy Bush is looking for a new gig after being fired from Today in the wake of the Donald Trump lewd comments scandal that surfaced a few weeks ago during election season.

And now, according to a new report, it turns out Bush may land his next host gig at... Breitbart News?!

Related: Teacher Told Little Girl Trump Will Deport Her Parents!

Reports reveal that the conservative (really white nationalist, but whatever) news website helmed by Trump's top adviser, Steve Bannon, is seeking Bush as their headliner to cover Hollywood!

A media insider revealed Breitbart is being aggressive in their pursuit of Billy, saying:

"They are trying to recruit Billy Bush. They want to expand covering Hollywood in a big way — and think Billy would be perfect for the job."

LOLz!

There you go, Billy -- jump from NBC to Breitbart News, of all places!

Related: Trump Says 3 Million Immigrants Will Be GONE Immediately

For what it's worth, Bush is not under any kind of noncompete clause, and he allegedly wants to go to ABC or CBS.

Media sources reveal that ego is playing a role for Bush here, too:

"Billy's ego is big. He likes to be a TV star, and would want to go to a rival like ABC or CBS."

Why does that not surprise us??

Regardless, Bush is still probably too toxic to mainstream media outlets after those horrible comments about sexual assault surfaced. And maybe he always will be, thereby making a move to an alt-right site like Breitbart News possible.

We shall see...

Donald Trump Does NOT Want To Live At The White House — But He Sure Wants To Keep Holding Rallies!

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 01:12 PM PST

In a new bombshell from the New York Times, two interesting facts are quickly coming to light about Donald Trump.

First: he doesn't want to live at the White House -- especially not full-time.

And second: he wants to keep holding (pointless and unnecessary) rallies after taking office -- so he can bask in the glow of people cheering him.

Related: Trump Wants To Deport 3 Million People Immediately

America elected a narcissist -- so is it any wonder he wants to maintain his old, lavish lifestyle AND continue to hold rallies even after taking office??

According to the report, Trump is "coming to grips with the fact that his life is about to change radically," and that means still trying to figure out whether he has to be at the White House all the time.

The Times shares:

"Mr. Trump, a homebody who often flew several hours late at night during the campaign so he could wake up in his own bed in Trump Tower, is talking with his advisers about how many nights a week he will spend in the White House. He has told them he would like to do what he is used to, which is spending time in New York when he can."

"When he can." We know what that means.

In a more ridiculous move than that, though, the Times also reports that Trump wants to keep holding rallies even after he's elected! There's absolutely no need for rallies, and nobody benefits by having them, but The Donald just wants to hear people screaming and cheering for him.

Let that sink in -- Trump has never wanted to hold the office of President, and actually govern, make compromises, make deals, figure out policies, and do stuff. He only ever wanted to be congratulated and held up for it.

He wants to be called President. He doesn't want to be the President.

Related: We Will Hear MUCH More From Trump Tonight…

After all, the Times reports that he was "shocked when he won," and is intending to maintain as much of his pre-election life as he can.

Absolutely ridiculous. Get ready for a long, long four years...

This White House news is all ultimately silly and absurd, but we can't forget that for many people, the next four years will bring utter terror and unimaginable sadness.

Teacher Under Investigation After Telling 11-Year-Old Girl Her Parents Will Be Deported By Donald Trump

Posted: 13 Nov 2016 11:52 AM PST

A substitute teacher in Los Angeles is coming under fire after allegedly telling her sixth-grade students that their parents would be deported after Donald Trump's election on Tuesday!

The Donald, of course, just announced a plan to immediately deport up to three million people -- and as shameful as that may be, it's even worse that a teacher would blatantly announce it to CHILDREN!!

Related: We Will Hear MUCH More From Trump Tonight...

An audio recording of the teacher at Bret Harte Middle School in south Los Angeles was captured on a student's cell phone, and it is now under review by the Los Angeles Unified School District!!!

Disturbingly, the words captured on the tape -- by an unnamed individual reported to be that substitute teacher -- towards an 11-year-old girl in the classroom are incredibly disturbing.

The teacher, apparently a substitute physical education teacher, said:

"If you were born here, then your parents got to go. Then they will leave you behind, and you will be in foster care ... I have your phone numbers, your address, your mama's address, your daddy's address. It's all in the system, sweetie."

WHAT?! The teacher almost seemed to gloat about Trump's candidacy, challenging the kids about the fact that their parents might be deported!!

Absolutely ridiculous -- and unacceptable!!!

Related: SNL's Post-Election Episode Was Incredible -- And Important

The 11-year-old's mother, Jennifer Reynaga, was equally shocked at the tape, telling the media:

"I would think the kids would do it, but I never thought a teacher would do it."

Ugh!!!

That teacher is under investigation, and hopefully VERY appropriate action will be taken, but it doesn't change the fact that this is entirely unacceptable.

And it sounds like this is also what we should probably start to expect in Trump's America.

Absolutely shameful.
