Kathryn Edwards Is Officially Leaving RHOBH!

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 06:54 PM PDT

Sayonara, Kathryn Edwards!

As we reported in June, we heard from sources that there was a good chance the 51-year-old was getting kicked off The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills after only one season.

Now it's official!

On Thursday, Edwards announced she will not be returning to the hit reality TV show. However, she is leaving with good spirits!

"I feel great… I walk away from it all with great feelings. I have no regrets at all."

Ultimately, the show wasn't a good fit for the blonde beauty.

"It was definitely an adventure for me. I really am kind of a private person… It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends. And I really didn't want to miss another year. It's nice to be able to live life."

However, the Brentwood native is proud that she was able to raise awareness for hearing loss. In case you didn't know, she has experienced deafness in her right ear.

"I feel really good walking away that I was able to get to a lot of people as far as my hearing device… I still get messages on Facebook and Instagram from people who got the hearing device that I have and it's changed their life. That's been great. I love hearing those stories."

And she'll definitely be tuning in next season!

"I'm sure I will [watch next season]!... I'm dying to see what's going to happen with Vanderpump and the crew next season!"

As we reported, Lisa Vanderpump is returning for season 7 as long as the show features her work with the LGBT community, her contributions to the fight against AIDs, and her mission to end the Yulin Dog Festival in China.

Another Housewife down!

Philando Castile Served Lunch To 500 Students & Memorized All Of Their Names & Food Allergies

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 06:00 PM PDT

He was truly remarkable…

As we reported, on Wednesday, Philando Castile was fatally shot by police at a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. The aftermath of his death was filmed by girlfriend Lavish Reynolds who posted it on Facebook.

On Thursday, friends, family members, and colleagues remember Castile as an outstanding member of society, and as a role model for children in the area.

Known by friends as Phil, he worked as a cafeteria supervisor at J.J. Hill Montessori Magnet School in Saint Paul, MN.

According to Joan Edman, a recently retired paraprofessional at the school, he memorized the names of each child, and if they had any food allergies.

"He remembered their names. He remembered who couldn't have milk. He knew what they could have to eat and what they couldn't… This was a real guy. He made a real contribution. Yes, black lives matter. But this man mattered."

According to parent Andrew Karre, Phil brought nothing but positivity and energy into the school.

"He was a fixture. I was always happy to see him around school. The cafeteria was a pretty happy place. He was part of the community and an important one… He was just a nice, caring person who worked at the school, who should not be dead."

An unnamed worker said Castile took his job extremely seriously, and was very ambitious.

"Kids loved him. He was quiet, respectful and kind. I knew him as warm and funny… He wore a shirt and tie to his supervisor interview and said his goal was to one day sit on the other side of this table.'"

Our thoughts and prayers are with Phil's friends and family during this difficult time.

This Super-Cut Of Gretchen Carlson's Male Cohosts Degrading Her Pretty Much Sums Up Her Entire Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Fox News

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:42 PM PDT

Woof, Gretchen Carlson went through A LOT of bullsh*t at Fox & Friends.

Following Gretchen's allegations of sexual assault against Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes, Bloomberg Politics released a super-cut of her Fox News & Friends cohosts constant degradation and sexist remarks.

Related: More Women Come Out Against Roger!

Essentially, Carlson endured YEARS of inappropriate comments directed towards her by her colleagues Steve Doocy & Brian Kilmeade, evidence which doesn't paint the network in a very flattering light. If it was okay for Brian and Steve to assail the journalist with misogynistic remarks ON LIVE TELEVISION, can you imagine what went on behind closed doors?!

While it's important to note that Doocy and Kilmeade have NOT been accused of any sexual misconduct, the video (below)! is disturbing and just plain gross. If you love and respect women, you do not speak to them in such a crude and disrespectful manner.

From referring to G.C. as a "skirt" in addition to asking her about her waxing habits, the following vid exemplifies Fox News' problem with women:

Yep, the footage speaks for itself.

Oh, and if you didn't think that was bad enough, check out this video (below) of Gretchen walking off set due to a sexist comment:

Yikes!!

So, what do YOU think of this footage?

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:35 PM PDT

People are coming together in the wake of Alton Sterling's controversial killing to help his family.

On Tuesday, the 37-year-old was shot and killed in Baton Rouge after two police officers pinned him to the ground and fired multiple rounds at him, claiming he was armed.

However, a second video showed that the Louisiana resident wasn't actually holding a gun when the cops shot him.

Alton's death is absolutely devastating, and is made even more heartbreaking knowing that five children are now left without a father.

The victim's oldest son, who is only 15 years old, broke down in tears during a family press conference in the wake of his dad's death.

But, the community is rallying together to support Alton's loved ones.

On Wednesday, writer and actress Issa Rae created a GoFundMe page to raise money directly for Mr. Sterling's family.

The 31-year-old, who stars in the YouTube web series Awkward Black Girl, created the profile to serve as a scholarship fund for his five kids, writing in the description:

"If you feel helpless, but want to play a small part in easing the burden of #AltonSterling's family, consider donating to this scholarship fund for his 15-year-old son (and his other kids).

*ALL* funds raised will go to Alton Sterling's family."

In the past day, over 16,000 people have joined together to contribute money to the grieving family, and have raised over $480K at the time of this posting.

Issa wrote in an update that she's working with Alton's legal team to ensure every cent of the almost half million dollars donated goes directly to his loved ones, posting:

"I have left word for the Edmond, the family attorney and have been consulting with my legal advisors to ensure that ALL of the money will get to the family (hopefully tax free). We're working on the most efficient plan and I thank all of you who have reached out to help and offer your services/connections. I will continue to keep you posted."

President Barack Obama Speaks Out About Police Shootings Of Philando Castile & Alton Sterling

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:03 PM PDT

President Barack Obama is speaking up after these terrible tragedies.

This week, two black men were shot and killed by police officers in two separate shootings that took place within one day of each other.

On Tuesday, Alton Sterling was pinned to the ground in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by two cops, when one of the responding officers fired multiple rounds into him, claiming he was armed.

Then, on Wednesday, Philando Castile was shot multiple times by a police officer during a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, Minnesota as he was reaching for his license and registration.

Both men died from their injuries.

And now, the Commander-in-Chief has made a moving statement about the poor victims after landing in Poland on Thursday, saying:

"When incidents like this occur, there's a big chunk of our citizenry that feels like, because of the color of their skin, they're not being treated the same. And that hurts. That should trouble all of us.... This is not just a black issue. It's not just a Hispanic issue. It's an American issue."

He also pushed for a more widespread adoption of the Task Force on 21st Century Policing that he set up two years ago, adding:

"If anything good comes out of these tragedies, my hope is that communities around the countries can take a look and say, 'how can we implement these recommendations?'"

Obama says that progress hasn't been moving at a quick enough pace:

"Change has been too slow. We have to have a greater sense of urgency about this."

And, the 54-year-old explained the outrage over these incidents is not about "being against law enforcement," saying that he understands not all cops are bad:

"To all of law enforcement, I want to be very clear. We know you have a tough job. We mourn those in uniform for protecting us, who lose their lives.... I've lost family members who were doing the right thing. I know how much it hurts."

He added:

"When people say black lives matter, it doesn't mean blue lives don't matter."

However, he implores that the prejudices that do exist need to be removed the system:

"There are problems across our criminal justice system. There are biases that need to be rooted out."

This speech comes after the US leader took to Facebook to address the horrific shootings.

After admitting on social media that he's "deeply troubled" by the recent events, clarifying that he can't comment on the specific details, and touching on the open investigation into Alton's shooting, Mr. Obama wrote:

"But regardless of the outcome of such investigations, what's clear is that these fatal shootings are not isolated incidents. They are symptomatic of the broader challenges within our criminal justice system, the racial disparities that appear across the system year after year, and the resulting lack of trust that exists between law enforcement and too many of the communities they serve."

He also exclaimed that we need to seriously change the prejudices in this country, adding:

"To admit we've got a serious problem in no way contradicts our respect and appreciation for the vast majority of police officers who put their lives on the line to protect us every single day. It is to say that, as a nation, we can and must do better to institute the best practices that reduce the appearance or reality of racial bias in law enforcement."

The President also called the country to unite during this tough time:

"In the meantime, all Americans should recognize the anger, frustration, and grief that so many Americans are feeling -- feelings that are being expressed in peaceful protests and vigils. Michelle and I share those feelings. Rather than fall into a predictable pattern of division and political posturing, let's reflect on what we can do better. Let's come together as a nation, and keep faith with one another, in order to ensure a future where all of our children know that their lives matter."

You can read President Obama's full post (below):

In the altercation that led to Alton's death, the authorities had been responding to a 911 call in which someone reported a man matching the 37-year-old's description threatening them with a gun.

The police were recorded tackling the father-of-five, pinning him to the ground in the parking lot before firing on him.

However, a second video of the scary shooting shows the father-of-five was not actually holding a gun.

And in Philando's controversial killing, his girlfriend, Diamond "Lavish" Reynolds, who filmed the gruesome aftermath on Facebook Live, said the 34-year-old had told the cop that he had a license to carry, and had a gun on his person.

She says that's when the officer fired on her boyfriend, who was a public school employee.

We are absolutely heartbroken and frustrated by these apparent acts of police brutality, and our hearts are with everyone affected after these devastating tragedies.

Lisa Vanderpump Almost Quit Real Housewives Because Of Her 'Vicious' Beverly Hills Costars!

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 03:52 PM PDT

We don't blame her!

Following the trainwreck that was Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, we weren't too surprised to hear Lisa Vanderpump was considering jumping ship.

As you know, the Vanderpump Rules matriarch ended up signing on for Season 7 after all -- something we can't say for Yolanda Hadid or Kathryn Edwards -- and she's already spilling English Breakfast tea about her costars!

Video: Get Ready For RHONJ With The Season 7 Taglines!

In fact, Lisa chatted with Daily Mail on Thursday where she revealed that her fights with Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson were what made her want to quit, saying:

"It was a tough season and the women were pretty vicious."

Well... you weren't completely in the right either, Lisa!

Still, it seems as though Andy Cohen was very committed to getting his BFF back in the cast:

"Bravo has been incredibly supportive. It's afforded me a lot of opportunities and I embrace that."

So she got paid. Got it.

Black Man Found Hanging In Atlanta Park — FBI Is Investigating

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 03:43 PM PDT

This is a truly horrifying situation.

Per the AJC, a black man between 25 to 35 years old was found hanging from a tree in a park in Atlanta early Thursday morning. The discovery comes on the heels of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile's senseless killings.

Related: Beyoncé Demands Police 'Stop Killing Us'

While the death was ruled a suicide by police, the FBI is now investigating the incident to confirm the findings. It's also important to note that an autopsy has yet to be performed.

Shortly after the news of the gruesome scene broke, Twitter erupted in anger over their suspicion that this was a "lynching" in addition to venting frustrations over the apparent lack of news coverage.

Take a look at the outraged tweets (below):

Given the backlash, Atlanta's governor Kasim Reed referred the case to the FBI and issued the following statement:

"I am deeply saddened by the loss of a young man's life last night in Piedmont Park. This disturbing event demands our full attention. The Atlanta Police Department (APD) is conducting a robust investigation into his death and I have asked to receive regular briefings on the status of the investigation. We have also referred the case to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Everything we have seen suggests that there was no foul play involved, but I want to state clearly and unequivocally that we will not prejudge the circumstances surrounding this young man's death. APD will share all evidence discovered in the course of the investigation. We ask for the public's support and cooperation as we work to resolve this matter."

Wow -- it sounds like Mr. Reed is determined to find out what's going on. We're glad he's taking the time to listen to the people.

We'll keep you updated as this case progresses.
