| Posted: 10 Jul 2016 03:48 PM PDT It's been a tough week across America. With accusations of police brutality flying amid senseless deaths of citizens, and horrifying sniper attacks on the police themselves, things have gotten completely out of hand here in this country. Well, now Ariana Grande and Victoria Monet have answered back. Related: Ariana Releases Her First MAC Viva Glam Lipstick On Saturday, the two released a brand new song decrying all the violence and hate happening across America, and Better Days is leaving us with a powerful message and SO many emotions. The song itself holds touchy lyrics and heartbroken emotion for all the lives lost:
And Grande herself spoke out about it on Instagram when she released a snippet of the song yesterday (below):
Here's the teaser from Ariana's IG (below): Monet, too, shared a powerful message on her own Instagram account in conjunction with the song (below):
Well said. Related: Ariana Channels Her Inner Doll Here's the full song, if you'd like to listen to the powerful track (below): So important for these times -- and it's so great to see artists not hesitating to speak out about what's been happening in this country. [Image via Apega/WENN.] |
| So Awkward — Watch Brandi Glanville Get Turned Away From The Nice Guy Last Night In Los Angeles! Posted: 10 Jul 2016 02:59 PM PDT Real Housewives of Beverly Who?! A doorman at The Nice Guy wasn't feeling Brandi Glanville last night, turning away the TV star from the West Hollywood, CA night club in the most awkward way -- and it's all on video! Video: Brandi Gets Called A 'Dumb B*tch'?! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and a few pals walked up to the door and tried to get in, but the doorman wasn't having any of it since, according to Brandi, her crew didn't have a reservation at the club. Awkward!!! She fought for her cause for a few minutes, and then eventually slunk back to a waiting Uber for a ride somewhere else -- presumably a place she could get in! Watch the cringe-worthy night go down on video (below)! Yikes!!! Related: Yolanda Hadid Wrote A Book About Lyme Disease, Obviously Sounds like The Nice Guy isn't feeling this particular RHOBH star! | Chaka Khan Enters Rehab For Prescription Pills — And Cites Prince As Her Motivation Posted: 10 Jul 2016 01:54 PM PDT This is very powerful. Chaka Khan has entered rehab -- along with her sister -- to battle addiction to prescription pills, and she's citing her late good friend Prince as the source of inspiration. Related: A Breakdown Of The Days Leading Up To Prince's Sudden Death The singer released a statement to the Associated Press on Sunday, saying she is canceling concert appearances all summer in order to get her health in order (below):
And while she is entering the program with her sister, Yvonne Stevens (also known as Taka Boom), Chaka Khan was very clear about the inspiration behind her decision:
Wow. Here's to Khan going through the process to greatly improve her health -- we certainly wish her the best. [Image via Dave Starbuck/Future Image/WENN.] |
| Caitlyn Jenner To Appear At A LGBT-Focused Brunch Outside Next Week's Republican National Convention Posted: 10 Jul 2016 01:04 PM PDT Looks like Caitlyn Jenner is standing with the Republicans... sort of. The I Am Cait star is going to Cleveland next week, but it won't be for the Republican National Convention -- instead, she's ready to participate as a celebrity guest at an LGBT brunch outside the convention. Related: Is Khloé Kardashian Romancing Trey Songz? The American Unity Fund, a conservative organization that advocates for LGBT causes, is hosting the brunch on July 20 in an effort to show conservatives support LGBT issues and the community at large. Talk show host Montel Williams is also slated to attend the event. Jenner, for her part, sounds excited to be a part of the brunch, saying in a statement:
Williams added his own statement, too:
Hmm... Considering this event is not an official part of the convention, but rather an outside brunch, we'll see whether Republicans actually end up embracing Caitlyn, or if they'll do to her the same thing she's done to Hillary Clinton. [Image via Dennis Van Tine/Future Image/WENN.] |
| Daenerys Marries Who?! VOTE For What You Think Will Happen In Season 7 Of Game Of Thrones! Posted: 10 Jul 2016 01:00 PM PDT The conclusion to Game Of Thrones is coming… but there's still a LOT that needs to happen in the final chapter of the fantasy hit! Season six's finale put all the key players in place to battle it out for the Iron Throne -- Daenerys is finally setting sail to Westeros, Jon Snow has regained control of the North, and Cersei is about to begin her reign as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Sure, there's the great battle against the White Walkers looming in the North, but we (probably) don't have to worry about that until Season 8. Related: The 'Grim' Reason GoT Season 7 Will Start Later Next Year Before our beloved characters can face off against the undead, a few more pieces need to be moved on the narrative chess board. Prophecies need to be fulfilled, personal enemies need to be killed, and characters need to learn of their true identities (and we don't just mean Jaehaerys Targaryen)! What do YOU think will go down when GoT returns next year? Cast your votes (below) from the most popular predictions! [Image via HBO.] |
